Ice and Water Shield
Ice and Water Shield is a modified bitumen roofing underlayment reinforced with a heavy weight fiberglass mat for use under asphalt shingles, metal, tile and slate.
We install ice and water shield membrane over the entire roof deck on every roof we install. Ice and water shield is a self adhesive roofing membrane that applies directly to the decking underneath the shingles. It bonds to the decking and is applied to the entire roof area. This serves as a secondary water barrier to prevent water from entering the home even after the primary roof covering has failed. In the event shingles are blown off during high winds this secondary water barrier will protect your home from water intrusion. Insurance companies usually offer substantial discounts on your premium with this installed on your home.
